We have switched from opensubtitles.org to the newer opensubtitles.com
This means you will need to create an account on opensubtitles.com and configure that in Emby Server settings. Until you do that, you won't get any subtitle downloads.

Work has been progressing furiously to provide a living room client to Android users. We're aiming for a January release of an update to the current client that will be geared towards 10' use. I'd originally hoped it would be under peoples trees for Christmas.
The players
The whole UI has been built with the intent to make physical remote navigation much easier. The new player UI has full support for playlist navigation, chapter/audio/subtitle selection.

The update for the Android TV and Fire TV apps rolling out now is a biggie. Lots of improvements in design, consistency and features so let's get right to it...
New Home Screen
The home screen is now much more consistent with the rest of the app and makes it much easier to get to features like search, settings, and switching between users as these are now at the top instead of all the way on the last row.

Want to reduce on the fly transcoding? We now have a feature that can help you convert your library into streaming-friendly formats. It's easy, just right click or tap on a video and select Convert in the menu.
