Windows 8.1 app update

A new version of the Windows 8.1 app has seen the day of light.   This is mostly a bugfix release, but we've added a few new features for you as well.   Artist detail view, just click an actor and the details will be displayed. Lockscreen image, the app now uses Movie backdrops as lockscreen image.   Transcoding, alot of new settings are now available which should sort out the stuttering on high def Movies. Media Browser for Chromecast updated

Those of you enjoying Chromecast with the web client have been treated to a new update. Windows Phone App Updated, Massive Streaming Improvements

Today we pushed a release for our Windows Phone app (8.0.66.0) which sees a massive improvement in streaming and what the app is requiring the server to transcode.   So what does this mean? Emby for Chromecast Updated

We've updated our Chromecast app with new features. Emby iOS App Updated for iOS 11

Version 1.4.3 is currently rolling out with improvements for iOS 11. There are only a couple highlights, but we know you're going to like these.   Direct Play HEVC   Thanks to hevc support in iOS11, you can now direct play mp4 files with hevc video and aac or mp3 audio.   Direct Play FLAC Audio   iOS now direct plays FLAC audio. Emby for Chromecast Updated

We've updated our Chromecast app with some new features. Here's what's new: More AC-3 Passthrough, More FLAC We've always supported ac-3 pass-through with Chromcast, but now we've updated our transcoding to also use it as well. This means if you have a DTS audio track for example, now we'll convert it to AC-3 which will still allow you to enjoy the surround sound. Windows 8.1 App 1.9.0 released

We are happy to announce that a new version of the Windows Store app is now available for download.   So what is new in this version?   First off: The "Resume" and "Resume On" funtionality has changed.
