Kazern 1
I'm trying to figure out how to set up a custom dlna profile for a ps3. I have several mkv containers, with h264 video and ac3 5.1 audio. Nothing else (no subs, etc). These stream nicely to an xbox 360. I know that the ps3 won't natively support these together in an mkv container, but it will in an m2ts container. I am trying to figure out how to setup the Playstation 3 dlna profile so that it tells it to transcode (remux) the mkv to an m2ts container so it streams ok. I'm seeing some odd stuff. First of all, although I see the Emby server on the ps3, I don't ever see the PS3 as an active device. I also don't ever see it showing up on the dashboard to indicate what is streaming. If I use the default profile for ps3 it says, format not supported when you try to select the movie on the ps3. I have been playing with the profile but am not entirely sure what needs to be set. I changed the transcoding video container from ts to m2ts and it seems to stream now, but with NO AUDIO. However, the log seems to indicate it is remuxing and natively passing the ac3? Anyone already figure this out? Luke 37128
Hi, the transcoding log looks fine. It sounds like maybe it's just not supported by the device?
