GameBrowser scraper not working for PC games

I'm not sure if I'm doing this right.

The folders were added to GameBrowser's monitoring list and to my library. It can find the folders, of course, but not scrape any games. Tried adding a game.gbwin file to my Age of Empires III root folder, no dice either. While it's not impossible to use the plugin (because manual data management is a breeze), it's definitely inconvenient. :( Is it something on GB's end or my setup?

I've got mostly these errors: "gameFiles is 0" for my folders, and every folder inside the game's folder. It can't find anything, but what is it that it's looking for?

I'm sorry for the mess, I did as shown in the tutorial and it worked! Scraper seems to work fine. Creating a separate folder with a game.gbwin dummy worked.

Glad to hear it, thanks for reporting back.

Biggest problem ATM is that TGDB is quite unreliable. :( The scraper scrapes just fine, but downloading the metadata often fails.

The automatic scraper will fail sooner or later, so here are the steps to scrape correctly if you don't have any luck with it:

1) Add the folders to GameBrowser and Emby library as usual.

2) Go to TheGamesDB and search for your game.

3) If the search doesn't return anything, search for the game manually in the list, then hover the mouse over the game's name to show the link. The ending number will be the game's ID.

4) Go to Emby, Metadata Manager, then search for your game. Input the game's ID in the TheGamesDB ID field. SAVE your modifications. (this is important!)

5) Finally, update the metadata, using FULL UPDATE (or whatever it's called in your language, it's the option that updates from scratch). Do NOT use "Identify", it won't work.

Scraper should work by doing this.

You may notice some very recent games don't have much metadata available. Well, TheGamesDB is open, why not contribute yourself? :)
