Trailer support

Nothing to fix. Some code is not active because it's not finished. I'll set out the roadmap for you...

Trailers are supported already in three ways.

  1. If a movie in your collection has a locally saved trailer file then it is offered on the movie details page.
  2. If you have access to the trailers channel and your movie happens to have a trailer in the channel it will be offered on the movie details page (unless you already have one from a local file).
  3. If you have access to the trailers channel then the Suggested menu on the movie details page will offer a mixture of movies from your collection and trailers.

Two more ways to access trailers are possible but only one will be offered in the Samsung client.

  1. Proper, borrowable access to the Trailers channel. This is bound up in adding the whole Channels portion of Emby via the Sammy client, which we will do in version 2.2.
  2. Remote Internet trailers. The web client also includes URL links to external pages that provide a trailer. There is nothing we can usefully do with this in the Sammy client.

Dodgy Bob

cmcg,

Please excuse my ignorance, is there any chance of the Sammy client using a local cache of trailers to pull from? That is to say, point the sammy app at a folder full of trailers on my server and then it can pull trailers from there (either/or, or as well)?

Thanks,

Dodgy bob.

if you're talking about cinema mode, you need to enable it in app settings under the Playback menu. After you first configure cinema mode on the server, each app has it's own on/off switch, and mobile apps disable it by default.
