Hi, i have found that if you have a movie with two copies in the same folder, for example the 2d and 3d versions of the same film, and some movie extras in a subfolder "extras", the extra videos are shown within the movie library.

folder structure:

movies\gravity\gravity [hsbs].mkv

movies\gravity\gravity.mkv

movies\gravity\extras\extra 1.mkv

movies\gravity\extras\extra 2.mkv

extra 1 and extra 2 show up as movies. i see this over about 5 different movies where i have this combination

now based on the lack of response i'm not clear on whether this is just me. and we wonder why people hesitate on reporting issues?

ok, i find the wiki a little unclear here. i've now followed the recommended naming structure for 3d movies (thank you bulk renamer) but the advice seems to conflict with the page you link to, particularly around the use of the hyphen to separate movie name and resolution, does this also apply to movie name and 3d tag?

so can i use

the lego movie (2014)\the lego movie (2014).mkv

the lego movie (2014)\the lego movie (2014).3d.hsbs.mkv

or do i need

the lego movie (2014)\the lego movie (2014) -1080p.mkv

the lego movie (2014)\the lego movie (2014) -.3d.hsbs.mkv

or one from the top and one from the bottom?

i think adding a 3d example to the multi resolution part of the wiki would help significantly

sorry for the necro...

But it would be nice if there was parity with how plex handles this:

https://support.plex.tv/hc/en-us/articles/200220677-Local-Media-Assets-Movies

Or confirmation/clarification of how extras are parsed.

I  am using both Plex and Emby and I am now using an "extras" folder for Emby and just so Plex doesn't see it I am using a .plexignore file so Plex ignores any directory named "extras". Not a perfect solution but it at least keeps things somewhat organized/uncluttered.
