lifespeed 42
Emby seems to be missing many movies in my library. I switched from Media Browser 2 a couple months ago. I have metadata from Media Center Master and have disabled Emby's metadata scraping. I told it to prefer XML files in the server metadata section. I can't see any difference between the folders it finds and those it misses. Tried rescanning from the server interface, didn't help. I am using server Version 3.0.5641.4, Emby Classic 3.0.283.
ebr 14913
First, back up and test with the web client. If you see the same thing there, then this is probably a format or configuration issue as opposed to something with any particular app. Also, we'll need specific details of what items are "missing". lifespeed 42
I deleted and re-added the metadata for some movie folders that weren't displaying. Emby classic seems to be displaying most of movies now, although I have found a couple more folders that were missing and refreshed the metadata with good results. I don't know why the metadata would be a problem. Some of it is a few years old from Media Center Master. It could soon be time to learn the functionality of Emby metadata scraping. AdrianW 1052
Make sure the xml files are NOT called "mymovies.xml". Emby only detects "movie.xml". Also, ensure they're plain text and not encrypted.
