two wire 2
I am unable to connect to my server using the Roku streaming stick. This problem was noticed after the Roku stick was disconnected from the power cord for about a month. I don't know if this a cause and effect, but I thought I would mention this.I thought this would be a good time to update to the latest Emby channel app. However, I cannot figure out how to do this. Help with this would be appreciated.
Luke 37063
Install this channel: https://www.roku.com/channels#!details/44191/emby
two wire 2
Luke, I did this before I posted, but the link reads "installed" and will not let me continue. The only install I have ever done was at the time I purchased the Roku stick, probably late Feb. or early march. The channel reads as "Media Browser." Was the update automatic and do I currently have the latest version? Edited May 28, 2015 by two wire
Happy2Play 8281
What version number do you currently have?
Luke 37063
The app should say Emby. If it says Media Browser it's not our app.
two wire 2
If not yours, then whose? I think the channel I have is the last version before the change. I have attached a screen capture of the channel. I don't believe it is a counterfeit. What version number do you currently have? I cannot tell. When I select the MB channel the first screen I see ask me to select a server. I do a scan and my server is found, but no connection is made. All I can do at this point is to go back to the previous screenfor selecting a server. The MB channel worked before I removed the power from the stick for 3-4 weeks, although closed captions did not work' I am still waiting for a fix to the external player option of MBT which is not working. I need this to use VLC so that I can use closed captions
Luke 37063
That's not our channel. That is something completely separate that is managed by someone else who no longer visits the forum. You need the Emby channel. Also, please link me to your post about your MBT problem. thanks.
two wire 2
Thanks Luke for the heads up on the MB channel. I have removed that channel and installed the Emby private beta channel. All is fine except for a delay in the .srt subtitle of about ten seconds. Any way to sync this?
dstixer 0
I had the same connection issue after updating the server.... Server found on ROKU, but not able to connect. I was using the "Media Browser" app from the ROKU channel store. Installing the EMBY ROKU client completely solved the issue, so thanks to the person that responded earlier with this link: https://www.roku.com/channels#!details/44191/emby I had no idea that EMBY had its own client for ROKU, and everything now rocks once again. Thanks, Forum.
