PBzeer 6
Was wondering if there's a way to setup different folder images for each user. As in Movies would be one image for one user, and different for another. I'm not talking access to a library or in the Web Client, simply the folder image shown in the player (Emby Classic or Theater), based on which user is logged in. Kind of like the way each user can configure the player for themselves for theme and views. I would imagine it's not possible, or even practical, but hey, never know until ya ask. ebr 14947
You can if you use separate media folders for the different users but not if you are using the amalgamated views created by the server.
PBzeer 6
So if I understand you right, I could have Home Videos 1 and Home Videos 2, that both have the same content, but different folder art? Alternately, for say Movies, could I have a separate Movie folder with shortcuts to the main movie folder? Edited May 27, 2015 by PBzeer
Solution ebr 14947 Posted May 27, 2015 Solution Share Posted May 27, 2015 Yes, you could use separate media folders pointing to the same locations. However, this means you'd have to disable the grouping feature in the server and browse with individual media folders. Maybe for just one small section of the library, but I'm not sure going down that path will be worth it just to have different images.
PBzeer 6
I've got it working (and I don't use the grouping feature anyway). I simply copied to new folders, or in the case of Movies, made shortcuts of all my folders in Movies and pasted those in a new folder. Thanks for the help.
