A new version of Emby Server is now rolling out and is designed mainly to address a few remaining issues when running under Mono 4.4, but also includes a few new features. Here are the highlights.

Easily Re-order Playlists with Drag Handles

You'll now see drag handles next to playlist items, allowing for quick and easy re-ordering.

What does 'set default directory picker path for QNAP' do?

What does 'set default directory picker path for QNAP' do?

When you open the directory picker when setting up a library, it will try and default to a known qnap folder where your media might be, just to make the process of selecting it quicker and easier. Try it out.

I've just updated my Docker to this version, using the update command within the Docker, and it now won't start.

It's constantly erroring with the following:

[ERROR] FATAL UNHANDLED EXCEPTION: System.NullReferenceException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object at MediaBrowser.Server.Mono.MainClass.Main (System.String[] args) <0x41aff0e0 + 0x00225> in <filename unknown>:0 Info, Main, Emby Command line: /usr/lib/emby-server/bin/MediaBrowser.Server.Mono.exe -programdata /config -ffmpeg /bin/ffmpeg -ffprobe /bin/ffprobe -restartpath /usr/lib/emby-server/restart.sh Operating system: Unix 3.10.77.0 Processor count: 4 64-Bit OS: True 64-Bit Process: True Program data path: /config Mono: 4.4.1 (Nightly 4.4.1.0/4747417 Fri Jul 1 11:23:27 UTC 2016) Application Path: /usr/lib/emby-server/bin/MediaBrowser

Unfortunately just testing for the presence of /share/CACHEDEV1_DATA will fail on many QNAPs due to differing system configurations, I know of at least the following variations /share/CACHEDEVx_DATA, /share/HDx_DATA and /share/MDx_DATA. For the time being you could use /share/Multimedia as this will work fine for most users.

Installed this yesterday. Everything was fine. Libraries worked, watched status and users were maintained. Playback worked.

This morning, all Libraries were deleted from the system. Currently rebuilding.

Same for me as well. Using Docker on UnRaid.

Videos no longer play if logging into web client through external IP address. Nor does Emby Theater web version (tv.emby.media). This has been an issue since v3.0.6000 upgrade.

I am having the same issue. I can stream videos from within my LAN no problem but anyone trying to steam from outside my LAN is unable to. My phone and my friends PC both just get a never ending spinning circle. You can connect to the library and see all your media files but you can't stream anything. I have unlimited bandwidth, or in other words, no throttling and I have it set to direct play because of this so it shouldn't be a transcoding issue. I looked in the log to see if I could possibly make sense of why this is happening and I'm not seeing any errors associated with those clients connecting and trying to stream content. Hope this gets fixed soon nothing has changed on my end except an emby server update. Checked other programs/services running on my server hosting emby and they are all working and I can connect like I should be able.

I should note I'm having these issues with the android client and emby theater for windows ver. 2.5 that was just released and the android client is up to date as well. Haven't tried web client but seems I'll have the same luck.

I don't know if this is related or not, but I'm getting really poor streaming performance from my Emby server on my VPS, both via my KODI addon and via the web playback when connecting to my server. Can't confirm that it's not my VPS, I suppose, but performance of other apps on that server seems to be fine.

EDIT: Never mind me. Transient issue, I guess. Sorry.

I'd like to notice - if only I could get to an interface *sob*

Any suggestions on how to solve my issue above? It's the official Docker, running on Synology. Was working fine on the previous release until I ran "update" from the Docker terminal to bring it to this version :-/

I think it was this update, but now when I add a movie or TV show into one of my libraries it doesn't pick up the change right away.  I have been having to go in and kick off a library scan.  Before I could drop a new episode or create a new folder and movie and within a minute or so it would see it.  I see 3.0.6020 is out but nothing about this issue.
