Revamped video player with automatic switching between two player engines
Emby for Apple TV 2.1.6 includes enhancements to improve video playback. One of the new enhancements is the Preferred Video Player in Playback settings. You can choose to set either MPV or the native player as the default or use the auto setting and let the client decide which player to use.

Version 2.1.6 supports one of Emby's newest features that allow skipping the Into segments of TV Episodes. This feature needs to be enabled on the server for any/all TV Series Libraries.

Emby Server will analyze all Episodes of each series to figure out exactly where the intro starts and stops recording this information in the database. Once each series is complete it's available on the client to skip.

You can set this up on each client to work manually or automatically. You will see a skip into button on the display bottom right as shown in the following screen shot.
