proo4509 0
I think it has something to do with my libraries. The pausing doesn't seem to happen with tv shows, only with movies. all libraries are on the same synology, just in a different folder. So, i think there's a difference in the settings....? I'll try that...

A normal server log should be fine and the ffmpeg log if there is one for the media being played.

Solution SamES 890 Posted March 31, 2020 Solution Share Posted March 31, 2020 (edited) You are trying to play DVDSUB/graphical subtitles which need to be burnt in by the server with a full transcode. Your server is only an arm based processor, so this is a very high workload for it. You can see in the transcode log that the conversion rate is very slow, less than 1x the playback speed (speed=0.519x). In other words, it is not transcoding as fast as you are playing and it can't keep up. This is why it is pausing. I would suggest getting a text based subtitle file if possible and avoid playing the DVDSUB subtitles. :38.883 frame= 1489 fps= 13 q=28.0 size= 6915kB time=00:00:59.61 bitrate= 950.3kbits/s throttle=off speed=0.52x >! proo4509 0
So, it's more a conversion issue? Damn, i did these myself... Thank you for helping me!
SamES 890
It's not really a conversion issue, it's that your server can't handle burning in subs. Have a go at SubtitleEdit. It can extract the PGS sub stream, perform OCR and create a text subtitle file. This will allow you to have subs without burn-in. Really useful for conversions you have made yourself.
