Can you resume with unlocked app or Emby Premiere?

Instead of Premiere I bought the one-time unlock for Emby iOS app. Now watching on a non-4K FireTV stick, I can resume titles that were started on iOS, but not those started on the FireTV. Is this normal and will unlocking the app on FireTV or paying for Premiere bring about the ability to resume?

On a side note, coming from Plex, it seems that to setup remote streaming in Emby requires one to mess around with DDNS (given the lack of static IPs), whereas I don't recall having to deal with such when enabling the same on Plex. That's the only thing still keeping me on the fence about whether to jump ship fully.

Hi.  Resume functionality is not limited to Premiere.  But, also, the unlock of the iOS app is not going to get you the Fire TV app.  They are different apps in different stores.  If you want multiple apps, then that is why we have Premiere.

That is because, when you access your Plex server, you are going THROUGH them.  So they can easily control the connection (and your users, and what they see...).

We don't work that way.  It is your server and you connect directly to it so this also means some configuration is left more on your shoulders as well.  However, we are working on things that will make it easier.

Thanks.

Hi.  If you are connected to a Premiere server then you don't need to also unlock the app.  Everything should be functioning fine.  Are you having a problem?
