Series Recording Inconsistency (Year vs. No Year vs. Wrong Year)

I'm not sure if this is a guide data issue, but over the last 6 months I've seen the recording folder change for a series.  For example when recording "The Flash" as a series sometimes Emby will record it into the folder tree "The Flash (2014)" and then record the next episode and store it in the folder tree "The Flash (1990)".  This may seem like a minor point, but over the last 2 weeks it has changed nearly all my recording folders from "SeriesName (YEAR)" to "SeriesName", or "SeriesName (YEAR_for_a_previous_series).  It is just plain messy and confusing.  Any idea on what is causing this or how it can be addressed?

Hi, there are existing discussions about this. The recent tvdb outages have played a role:

Ideally you want the series year in the folder name, but the guide data doesn't provide this, so we try to obtain it from tvdb. But if they're having issues at the time of the recording, then those issues become our issues.

I would manually merge your existing ones and then as tvdb resolves their issues it shouldn't happen anymore.

Ahh that makes sense. I noticed I had multiple shows with two folders.
