I looked around and am not seeing this topic so I'm wondering if it's just me but thought I'd post anyway.

Nvidia shield - Sony Bravia 85" 850f - Denon 6400h - this is my current setup

When I go to the all movies section then select a letter on the left of the screen it just pops back up to the top of the list. It does this regardless of the letter selected. If I go to the collections section I can jump to any letter properly. Is this known, just me, or do I need to adjust a setting somewhere perhaps?

Exactly what you were doing and what happened. - Go to my media -movies -this defaults to all movies - select a letter on the left - in the log I selected several - it defaults back to three amigos every time

Include the name of whatever you played if it is a playback problem - NA

The time you sent the log - 10:43am central

The name of the Emby user on the local server that was logged in at the time: Eric is a Geek!

Unfortunately, that told me absolutely nothing :).

Is there anything interesting about this movie library?  Can you try reversing the sort order and see what happens?

Nothing unusual, it is about 1900 movies of varying size and quality. When I reverse the order I am able to jump to letters so it is just the default order that has the problem, interesting. I tried putting it back to see if that fixed the problem and unfortunately it does not.

Okay, so that tells me that perhaps there is something wonky about that first item in your list.  Look at its metadata.  Anything strange in its "Sort Title"?

No, the sort title was blank but since it was jumping to Three Amigos I checked that one bit it was also blank. The title however started with an upside down ! however, so I deleted that and the sort function now works as intended. I imagine it did not like the character! Thank you for guiding me in the right direction.

Edit. Now it is jumping to Aeon Flux, I will bet it also has a special character in it, looks like I have some cleanup to do.

Edit 2: Aeon Flux indeed had the funky AE symbol in the front so I fixed that and we are set now.

After 4.0 is released, I'll be able to use a server API to get the letters and, hopefully, avoid these types of issues.

Thanks.
