williamdosa 5
Hi, just got Emby working yesterday. It decided that my collection of original Magnum P.I. shows are a part of the brand new 2018 Magnum P.I. reboot. How do I split them? The old series is in /media/tv/Magnum P.I.UC browser SHAREit MX player The new series is in /media/tv/Magnum P.I. (2018) (I also have some old Doctor Who and New Doctor Who. Those weren't merged). ebr 14902
Make sure the two series have the proper tvdb IDs associated with them.
Solution Luke 36999 Posted October 14, 2018 Solution Share Posted October 14, 2018 There is no function to split them, but you can disable series grouping for that particular emby library, using the settings in emby library setup. Then run a library scan after changing it. Please let us know if this helps. Thanks.

I'm just having one show in two editions there: Game of Thrones 4k Game of Thrones 4k remux I want them to be shown as two different shows. Any way to accomplish that? Best regards Unfortunately no as the library option will merge them as they have the same providerids. Automatically merge series that are spread across multiple folders If enabled, series that are spread across multiple folders within this library will be automatically merged into a single series. They would need to be in separate libraries. Maybe limiting providerids on each? Haven't tested but would require Locking metadata.
horstepipe 356
so you mean to remove all providerIDs and lock metadata for the second show edition?
Happy2Play 8239
Just now, horstepipe said: so you mean to remove all providerIDs and lock metadata for the second show edition? Possibly or one with TVDB and the other with TMDB. Will probably have to limit IMDB to only one.
