I have used the free standing NPVR server with Kodi for several years and enjoy it.  I just recently started using Emby and still learning the "ins and outs" of its use.

I noticed there is a NPVR plugin for Emby and I have a couple of questions:

1) Pros and Cons of moving to NPVR for Emby

2) If I switch to NPVR for Emby how to I migrate the NPVR setting to Emby

3) How to integrate  NPVR for Emby into existing Kodi installation.

I know this is a multi-part question and if I need to I will break this into separate posts.

Thanks...

If you want to connect next pvr to emby then you need both.

What kind of tuner do you have?

Ok, then why do you need next pvr at all? Emby supports HD Homerun directly.

Well, the old adage, "if it is not broken...".

I am not opposed to switching to to HomeRun HD but everyone in the household has grown accustomed to using Kodi with NPVR.  I am afraid a riot would break out.

Ok so then yes if you stick with next pvr, Emby can utilize that via the next pvr plugin.

What about the integration with Kodi?  I currently have a link on the skin that utilizes NPVR.  Would this be a question for the Kodi forum?

Thanks...
