I have a boxset that will not update, Marvel Cinematic Universe. When I run a boxset refresh in the addon, it appears the process crashes. Log attached.

Kodi 17.6

Emby 3.3.1.0

Plugin 3.0.14a

Thanks,

Earl

EDIT: by appears to crash, I mean the sync goes through on screen but the log says it failed and the new movies do not show up in the boxset

I will test on my side, however I don't see any particular errors in your log. I'll let you know.

Does this build makes any difference?

Why do you believe it is not working? Can you tell me what you expected to happen, thank you.

it's working here but maybe something else is causing what you are seeing. Let me know, :)

The attached file did not work. I have to get to work so I will upload a log tonight. As for what is not working. I added Thor Ragnarok to my movies. I added it to the Marvel Cinema Universe collection. It shows up in the collection in the web interface. It does not show up in the collection in kodi on 4 different kodi devices even after boxset refreshes and manual syncs.

Thank you for the additional information. It seems Thor Ragnarok is already part of the Thor Collection. Kodi only supports one boxset per title unlike Emby. This is why you do not see the title in the Marcel Cinematic Universe.

Crap I did not realize that. My Captain America, Iron Man, and Avengers boxsets are gone in kodi now. All of this because my wife wanted to watch the MCU movies in release date order. Thanks for pointing this kodi limit out to me.

It looks like Kodi supports nested box sets:

Example Movie Set usage:

  • According to TMDB, the three movies from The Lord of the Rings are considered a set. The three movies from The Hobbit are considered as another set. This would create two movie sets in Kodi. (scraper created movie set)
  • Some users will combine these two sets into one set. The set now contains six movies and can be renamed to The Middle Earth Collection or similar. (created with movie set editor or nfo files)

This would work for me if only the Emby server supported it. I don't want to have to go to all our devices and nest some box sets under multiple profiles
