Can't stream QAM channels to Roku 3

Hello,

New here, but find this a great project. Thank you to everyone involved!

Recently set up a Roku 3, and gave this software a try. It's pretty solid so far, and does a lot of great things.

One problem, however, is that I can't seem to tune QAM channels from my Hauppauge 2250 (installed in a Win 7 machine, using ServerWMC). SD seems to transcode, and appears OK, though on a related note, I'm also curious if there's any chance that there will perhaps someday be "zooming" support, as is in WMC (especially settings 2 / 4 - full zoom, and 'dynamic'). This would help greatly with SD content on an HDTV.

Haven't yet set up these "clear QAM" channels to map to guide data, but I'd think it'd still "just work" as it seems to in a web browser, though the laptop I've tested with seems to struggle with higher bitrate material a little bit.

Only other thought - the guide looks fantastic on a web browser. Any chance that "style" is possible on the Roku 3? Seeing 2 rows at once is OK (I went ahead and paid for the month's worth of donation), but wow, that browser interface is quite slick! Even if it wasn't possible, perhaps more than 2 rows, even with less graphical data someday?

Just thoughts so far. If there's a better place for some of that, let me know.

Hi, welcome. Once channels reach Media Browser it doesn't know the difference between QAM and any other types. What is the problem you are having with them?

Also, what do you mean by only 2 rows visible? Unfortunately Roku can't reproduce the web client due to it's capabilities, but other apps can. For example, our upcoming Android release:

Success!!

It appears that guide data must be present. Once it could read that, the channel could be tuned.

Combined listings in wmc for all the locals that have clear qam equivalents, and it's in business.

Still be great if, someday there was a way to zoom SD material, but this is still a great backup way to view TV. Not quite cable box replacement ready, but GREATLY extends the use of this little roku.

We now have native Hauppauge support available for testing in the Emby Server beta:

Thanks.

Neat!

Haven't visited much here in a while, but have been tinkering with Emby more lately.

Really liking the "theater" software.

Sorry for thread necro. Not seeing delete button. Responded to a yr. old thing here by mistake (it is 2019, not January of ...2018...)
