It has been awhile since I have played with ET on my W10 HTPC.

Previous versions I did not have any issues with audio playing where I wanted it output yes but audio was always there.

So I updated via the web and no audio - LiveTV, recorded playback doesn't seem to matter.

I have of course checked the windows config, no issues. These files play fine in other players. When I drop them into

the MPV player in ET system folder I get no audio.

Is there a config file I need to create, modify, update? I know we were playing around with mpv.conf files earlier in the process. I no longer have

that file anywhere.

I can drag a file into the mpv player on have in and older portable version of ET on my storage drive at it works fine.

I am confused to say the least.

Try going back to application default audio settings. You must have some configuration that is causing this. Thanks.

Yeah haven't altered any settings.

If I replace the mpv folder in my installed version with the mpv folder from the portable version I get audio - I would not call that a fix though.

Edit - Further testing shows if I only move the "portable_config" folder into the installed ET mpv folder the audio works also.

I've had a few instances of no audio, but I've been training mine for the circus. When you play and have no sound, what do the stats say?

Thanks for replying!

With.jpg is with the "portable_config" folder inside the C:\Users\xxx\AppData\Roaming\Emby-Theater\system\x64\mpv folder

Do a clean install, don't put the portable config back in, test again, and let me know what the stats say, then

So uninstall -> reboot -> re-install then report back?

No need to reboot, I just want to clear any old stuff out. To that point, delete the mpv folder that's in the Roaming folder. The new install will make a new one. Then play something, and let me know what happens.

Try updating your emby library setup so that the Theater app can reach the media paths directly. In theory this isn't required, but every once in a while it can make a difference.

I have no idea what that means.

I am guessing change the path circled in red?

No change after updating the folder path.

You said that when you used your portable config, it worked. Can you post the mpv.conf from that folder?

Here is the weird thing it is just a folder - empty folder??  I add it it works, delete it it doesn't...

The Widows Store version 1.1.186 does work for what that is worth.

Thanks for the assist!

That conf is specifying your audio device by ID, not name. That ID can and will, change. If you delete that file, and remove the portable_config folder, do you then get audio?

Yes

Voila! If you want to specify your audio device, use the name. Like this.

audio-device=wasapi/SC-95 (Intel(R) Display Audio)

I will probably do that in the future, After I move the shield I am currently using.

What is the command to get it to spit out a list of audio devices ?  mpv --audio-device=help  ???
