Ember Not Pulling Artwork Correctly

Hi there,

Is anyone else experiencing this issue?  It doesn't happen every time but occasionally Ember will garble the backdrop artwork or have trouble pulling it at all.  I am seeing this on xbox one.  It happens most often when you open a collection. But move detail pages experience it too.  I have posted a picture so you can see what I am talking about.

Thanks!

I posted this in August and still no replies to this issue?  I also private messaged @7iillusions but haven't heard back yet.

@@Luke well I just ran over to check for sure if Emby for Xbox was having the same issue just incase. For the most part it's not. In some areas it may be a little slow to pull artwork. When I went into the genre's section it took about 10 seconds to pull the artwork. I don't know if these are related or not and I'm sure ember and emby work differently. With ember it almost seems that if it can't pull it in time it doesn't pull it at all. With emby it seems that it will always pull it even if it takes a little longer. Do you think these two things are related or is it just an Ember issue?

Thanks!

Not sure without looking at log files but if i recall you use the cover art plugin, right? That will increase image load times.

I can't reproduce this on any movie.  So yes it could be a network issue as images display instantly for me.

You may want to look at some of Ember's personalization options.

Not sure if it's a network issue. This also happens with ember on the same machine as the server. The only thing I can think of is that the storage for the movies is on an external hard drive from the main PC. But running my server this way has never caused me an issue before. The pc is extremely powerful and the external hard drive is pretty fast.

Could it be that the cache and metadata paths are also on the external hard drive?  Emby doesn't have a problem with this but maybe Ember does.I moved the path to the External hard drive because the C: drive is an SSD with not a lot of storage.

I could be way off but just trying to get this figured out.

Thanks

Sorry for not responding. I'm currently traveling and working a lot, so this has a little lower priority atm.

I've had this issue for ages, but I noticed you weren't around to do anything about it so I never reported it.

I'm still trying to figure out what's causing this. I'm not able to reproduce your issue.. Is it always the same collections, or is it random? Eg. Collection A is broken on day 1, but ok on day 2

Its random. if you go into a collection the backdrop will either not show up or will be garbled.  If you back out and go back in it will show up.  The main issue though is that the primary posters are not showing up on the movie detail page.  You aren't able to reproduce it?  In post #18 you said you were seeing it as well.  Are you not seeing it now?

Thanks!
