guppy710 8 Posted November 15, 2016 Share Posted November 15, 2016 Hi Everyone, I have been using Emby for several months now and am very happy with the server and apps. I travel quite a bit and the ability to watch my media via the web app on my laptop was one of the reasons I liked Emby. Last week, after upgrading to server v3.0.85, I began having issues with the web app. I can log into the server but the images and backdrops take longer than usual to load. When I navigate to one of my library's and try to play something, I get the spinning circle for a bit and then it goes away and nothing plays. The backdrop for the media I am trying to play does get displayed. When connecting locally using Emby Theater or the web app, all works perfectly. I installed the Emby app on my Android phone and everything plays perfectly both locally and remotely. I seem to be having issues only with the web app remotely. I was able to play remotely via the Android app. I think these logs were from the Android playback..... I was finally able to play on my laptop by setting up a VPN connection from my server to the laptop... This worked but is a bit cumbersome when trying to share my media with family...... I can navigate to the show I want to watch, but when I click play, It shows the backdrop of the show I selected and the playback control bar comes up but nothing further happens. guppy710 8 Posted November 23, 2016 Author Share Posted November 23, 2016 Hi Luke, I tried on a different laptop with a fresh install of Chrome and all is well. Not sure why my old laptop showed an outdated version of Firefox as I have been using that laptop for quite a while with no issues. At least I now know that this is an issue with that laptop.
