mentasm 43
Hi, I need some assistance if I can. I have the latest Trailers plugin installed and I believe it is working fine on the MB server side of things. It is running it's scheduled update task fine, it populates the list of trailers and downloads the metadata. When I go to play a trailer, the screen goes black for a few seconds and then I get a WMC 'Cannot Play Video' error message (blue WMC background). I've looked at the MBC logs and it looks to me like its handing it off ok to WMC to play. Have I got a codec issue or something? I swear it used to work ok for me. I've got a quite old version of shark codecs installed (x86 and x64), but it hasn't missed a beat for local content in a loooong time This is from the end of the attached log: 2013-11-08 11:59:53.2280,Info,,Internal Player about to play The Wolf of Wall Street(http://192.168.1.2:8096/mediabrowser/Videos/787d9e55-7531-8c0d-9f8e-7a0acd342261/stream?Static=True) ,47,Worker thread for Play Action 2013-11-08 11:59:53.2840,Info,,Internal Player playing The Wolf of Wall Street,47,Worker thread for Play Action 2013-11-08 11:59:53.3010,Debug,,Calling MediaCenterEnvironment.PlayMedia,1,Application 2013-11-08 11:59:53.5030,Debug,,Going fullscreen,1,Application 2013-11-08 11:59:53.5540,Debug,,HandlePropertyChange has recognized that playback has started,1,Application 2013-11-08 11:59:53.5560,Debug,,Sending Http Post to http://192.168.1.2:8096/mediabrowser/Users/afb49e73-489a-796a-c5db-a2343b1362b5/PlayingItems/787d9e55-7531-8c0d-9f8e-7a0acd342261?CanSeek=True&QueueableMediaTypes=&format=Json,1,Application 2013-11-08 11:59:53.7550,Debug,,Playstate changed to Playing for The Wolf of Wall Street,, PositionTicks:0,, Playlist Index:0,1,Application 2013-11-08 11:59:53.7560,Debug,,Back from PlayStateChanged,1,Application Any ideas. Solution Yogi 367 Posted November 8, 2013 Solution Share Posted November 8, 2013 It is definitely a codec issue, either update the Shark codecs or try Lav filters.
mentasm 43
OK, updated to latest Shark Codecs and it works now. Was scared to touch the codecs as they have been working flawlessly for ages
