I am trying to figure out the best way to show my 3D blu-ray ISO using Kodi and Emby.

I have 3 Kodi machines but I only want one of them to display the 3D content. What will be the best way of getting it done? I am using Emby as a backend for Kodi v16

Thanks,

Tal.

To be honest, ISO support is a bit unpredictable. 3D ISO *shivers* :) I think Kodi will auto detect if it's 3D and it should try to play it accordingly.

First thing you can try is if you are using add-on playback mode, try to play it. If that doesn't work, and your regular content does play as direct play, then...

Second thing you can try is change to native playback mode; you'll need to reset your local database after switching.

If it still doesn't work, please post your Kodi log following: http://emby.media/community/index.php?/topic/17599-how-to-report-a-problem/

I can't guarantee we'll be able to get it to work. Especially since server support is very limited.

If you can't achieve direct play, then we'll need to address that first.

I am not looking for playback help but on how to display the library of my 3D movies on the screen for selection.

I still want to use Emby as the backend database but only want to show the 3D movies selection on one KODI.

I guess I can always add the 3D movies directly to KODI and let it manage the media bypassing Emby.

Oh ok, sorry I misunderstood your question... There's no need to add them directly to Kodi. But if they are ISO, you might as well... Otherwise, are they in the same physical directory as your regular movies? If you have them separated in Emby, then you can also separate them in Kodi and just display your 3D as your main movie section in Kodi. Otherwise, if they are grouped in the same directory, you could always create a custom smart playlist that targets your 3D movies and simply add that shortcut to your homescreen on that particular Kodi. You have options.

Angelbule05,

Thank you for the response. I have my media separated between 2d and 3d movies. All 3d movies are in an ISO or folder structure format. right now, I do not have my 3d library added to Emby, so I guess first step is to add them to Emby and create a shortcut (Home tile called 3D Movies) and point it to Emby.

Thanks again.
