User Permissions Issue

I have noticed two things for a child account after updating to 3.0.5768.1.

  1. Child account has "Allow this user to manage the server" UNCHECKED but is able to edit images of homescreen icons, Movies, TV shows etc and able to edit subtitles as well.

  2. Child Account displays Library Access to ALL libraries in the users section even though I only enabled two libraries for it to access. This appears to be visual only because using the child account does not actually access ALL libraries. The issue is now I cant see which libraries it is accessing in order to change them.

I think he is saying that the user access panel is showing that access to all libraries is checked when, in fact, that option is not enabled and, instead, there are specific libraries selected.

It also appears to just be an issue with the config page because the system is operating properly, it just isn't showing the proper information in the configuration.

Sorry for not being more clear but yes that is exactly what I am trying to say. By child account I meant a limited account. In addition they can also change images for library items using the context menu.

try just re-saving on that page.

Ok i tried that and it did not fix the library access selection but it did retain the orderedViews. What i did notice is there is a difference between config.xml and policy.xml.

config.xml this is what is suppose to be allowed even though the admin page shows access to all

policy.xml this shows all libraries

After unchecking "enable access to all libraries" and manually adding it libraries to how i had it. Policy.xml looks like this:

  <EnabledFolders>
    <string>731f2d6020e1cd2362104fbab5dfbcff</string>
    <string>185bd08323f3fda0aa7f7eba25ccbdb5</string>

    <string>e9887d949e04c1bef6555bfbf11b696e</string>
  </EnabledFolders>

It matches the config.xml (ordered differently).

Either way I decided to just go through all my users and manually rebuild their libraries.

yea that's what i mean, sorry, just reconfigure it on the page and then that should clear it up. it's just an issue on the page itself because the opt-out blocked list is how we were doing it up until the early part of this year. so the just is lost a little lost in translation for profiles that were configured a long time ago, but underneath it's functioning fine.
