The fact that even a single packet worked, means you have remote connectivity. canyouseeme should also now say the port is open. btw - make sure you used the port forward option, not the port trigger option (if it has it). It's really not ideal, but it should work, but for reliability/performance reasons especially as it's in the same room - I would invest in a suitable wired ethernet connection.

Very well written examples as well, I actually understood them first time As my media is only watched by my wife and I I only have one user so up to now I doubted I'd be using batch. In fact I think the command I have been testing will do the job. The only task I need to work out now is how to delete the last episode in a series that has ended. The logic I was considering is; The series has ended There are no unwatched episodes There is only one watched episode Delete the episode That will leave an empty folder which can be cleaned up by Sonarr at the next scan. As currently I manually cleanup using Sonarr and I recall you said you do this as well I reckon it will be a useful addition. I was thinking of running two scheduled tasks with the daily cleanup of watched episodes and then a weekly deletion of finished series but now the batch is an option I might be brave and dive in. If those keys have ever been unintentionally published and scraped (such as in previously posted unobfuscated logs for other issues) - then your system may be vulnerable. I would change them peroidically - a manual api key has the equivalent of a full admin user with no password, so keep those keys secret.

I'm happy to report that the bug dissapears when moving emby addon to "addon" mode instead of native. So it's a bug found in native mode only. Since my kodi, emby server and media are all connected locally, I always used native mode, but if there is no other disadvantage to going Addon mode, I'll stay in this mode.

An update on the picture issue, I set the cache all images option and let it cache everything and now it loads the images fine. So is this a timeout solved by caching or something else?

Is Emby server on the laptop? If so, check that the networking hasn't been flipped to public mode (it needs to be private); this is a thing Windows sometimes does unexpectedly with updates. Paul

Hi, I have two files from same video, one is HEVC + ASS, other is AV1 with same ASS subtitles. Windows Emby Server 4.8.5.0, web windows client. If I play HEVC file with or without subtitles everithing works fine. If I play AV1 witout subtitles, works, but with subtitules, don't work, I receive a message "there is not compatible transmisions availables". I attach logs and mediainfo from files. I'll try using addon mode. I found another weird thing, that may be related. I have both the "ask for deletion after watching" and "skip to next episode" on. It used to work fine, asking to delete the episode when I clicked next episode. But now, If I click next episode, it doesn't ask for deletion. If I hit esc twice (dismissing the "next episode" and exiting to the kodi interface) it asks for deletion. It doesn't bother much, but it's weird. may it be related to the dissapearing episodes bug?

I am not even sure where to put this so will just add it to the general area. I have a movie with subs that Emby is trying to burn in, not an issue really as the machine should be able to handle this ok, but for this file it is having issues. The movie transcodes at 24 fps which is just not fast enough to watch, it pauses every now and then to catch up, wife = not happy Ok so its having issues fine, its probably CPU/IO/MEM bound and it's just a performance issue with my machine you say, However if I grab the ffmpeg command being run from the ffmpeg log file and run it on the machine manually it transcode the file at about 105 fps or about x4 times the speed. I have attached the ffmpeg log for the transocde. I don't actually expect this is an Emby issue as I have said if I run the exact command from the ffmpeg log it runs fast. hey thanks for the reply. as u can see in the video there is something within emby that makes is take longer to start the stream as compared to vlc for example and i was wondering if u know what might be happening here and a potential fix, thank you again.

Actually, the server shouldn't transcode video at all, only audio if the transcode settings are correct. two options, transcode by bandwith (100 / 1000) should never trigger the transcoding and second. transcode by containerformat. That's the one you shoudl enable (for audio only). Check Emby servers dashboard to see what's happening.

Smart playlists. For audio transcoding, though (I've to use an optical audio cable), I let the Emby server do that, as the audio is still louder using Emby.

I have the same problem with this movie and with rebel moon part2. I can play for a few minutes and then the image freezes. Yes, it does when subtitles are muxed into mkv file and fonts are added as attachment. But when subtitles files are external with embedded fonts, it does not.
