I have NVIDIA Container Toolkit installed/running and docker-emby with hw transcode but after a few hours the hw transcode does not work and makes software transcode, I have to restart the container for it to work again. Hello Emby Community, I'm encountering an issue while trying to start Emby Server on my Ubuntu 20.04 system and could really use some assistance. Whenever I attempt to launch Emby Server using the usual command (sudo service emby-server start), I'm receiving the following error message: Failed to start emby-server.service: Unit emby-server.service not found. I've double-checked to ensure that Emby Server is installed correctly and that all dependencies are met, but I'm still unable to start the service. Has anyone else experienced a similar issue with Emby Server on Ubuntu 20.04? If so, could you please provide some guidance on how to troubleshoot and resolve this error? Emby will do bulk conversions of audio files (check out the three-dot menu on a folder). The dialogue still talks about video... I don't know how convenient it is, as I don't use mp3 now - I use LameXP for bulk audio conversions, as it can target whatever I need. Paul

In the past I have used that same cpu. It can be tricky depending on what OS and kernel you are using but sometimes the GUC must be turned on by adding "options i915 enable_guc=3" to: /etc/modprobe.d/i915.conf If you do a google search on the option above you can find more info and see if it applies to your situation. My issue was similar, all the transcoding options were there but it wouldn't transcode.

Rather than on the fly conversion can I do bulk conversion? So that the .FLAC are kept in one folder and the .mp3 in another? The client device (my phone) isn't going to be connected to my home network while I'm out and about.

Any thoughts on this? If infuse direct mode does counts towards emby premiere it'd be nice to know so I can just stop using infuse since that's the only reason I was using it to not counts toward my total device count.

Hi Luke. Thanks for following up. I was still having the same issue after updating to 4.8.3.0. I have checked the graphics driver and it is quite old. I don't know why, but I do note that there is a 'security update' driver from Feb. I'll update both and report back.

I love Emby, switched from Plex a few months back. It does most of what I need, however some functionality like being able to use Trakt service requires plugin. I went to plugin catalog and it constantly loads, been trying it since switching and only today decided to make a post about it. Port forwarding is set right and it works, I attached emby server log if it helps. Thank you embyserver.txt
