Thanks! This script has save me a lot of time, instead of manually renaming all SRT files I now could do it per season, saved me a morning full of work!

Emby clients pausing/buffering too often - Clients need bigger buffers
marshallwyoung replied to strichmo's topic in General/Windows
Just started having this problem this past week as well. We'd be watching an episode and with 3 minutes left it just started freezing and it'd take about 30 seconds to play a 4-5 second clip. Then today it started freezing 15 minutes into the episode. So, I swapped fire cubes because I thought it might be the cube (mechanical issue) but it kept doing it. I changed the playback in emby to use VLC instead of the built in exoplayer for playback and the buffering issue no longer happened. Its direct stream with exceptional reception and I've checked all the cords and routers, ect... I'm convinced I've narrowed it down to emby, it doesn't happen in Plex with the same episodes. I can see it's not buffering correctly when it happens and it's only moving around 4mbps so not much, especially for my network and devices to handle. For months, everything has been working seamlessly. just the last two weeks this started happening. I did notice an update on emby tonight. So, who knows, maybe the update fixed it, I'll know tomorrow when I watch the next few episodes of it continues. But, it could be a possible degradation issue in the emby software that pushes it to fail to buffer correctly after so much wear and tear. Who knows, -
@GrimReaperThis is where I'd say it can be split and some parts deleted in each split.

Is this your server, or someone else's ?

These are intros of anime, usually locating within 5 minutes from the beginning of each episode, and the length is about 90 seconds. Another feature is that usually the first episode doesn't contain the intro.

@Happy2Play What kind of Dashboard is this? Ive never seen this bevore.

Hope it's okay if I share a OneDrive link with the complete episode. Emby – OneDrive (live.com)

If you store NFOs with your media: Open the NFO for the film with the incorrect identification Search for the correct actor on IMDB and TMDB Under that actor's name in the film's NFO file, there are tags for their TMDB and IMDB IDs Replace the incorrect IDs with the correct ones Scan I assume TVDB ID is also used for TV, but I really only manage films on my server.

Inside have few urls of channel stream. I have said, it working in Emby 8.3 and any IPTV or Media Player program but not in Emby 8.4. I think something wrong with ffmpeg.
-
That's helpful in understanding. Thanks so much. I shall try not to digress any further!

adb shell monkey -p tv.emby.embyatv -c android.intent.category.LAUNCHER 1 This only worked for me sometimes (e.g., something like if I hadn't already opened it since rebooting). The snip below works fine: am start -n tv.emby.embyatv/.startup.StartupActivity

I'm not sure, I think the server. I click on enter the ip manually and am confronted with a login so I am assuming the server. For some reason the PW I have listed in my PW program doesn't work.

HI, can you please attach a new log example? Thanks

Episodes are not getting titles, but filenames instead

How is the media being added to Emby? One of the *arrs? If so are they writing nfo files? -

Sorry, my mistake. You have two users with trakt configured. One succeeded, the other did not and probably needs to have credentials reconfigured.

Thanks for answering me. I have followed your instructions, but the problem still persists.

Devs will have to analyze that file but would assume there is something wrong with the encoding as I get no "RequestPosition". Could be to small of a clip though. Reprocess clip and throttle was not able to kick in on such a short file.

The problem doesn't exist with every film/Episode , just with some. I'm attaching a sample. I always have problems with this episode in 4.8. In 4.7 it runs without problems Chicago Med - S02E11 - Graveyard Shift - WEBDL-1080p (1)-001.mkv

Opensubtitles? My problem is with Trakt

How to let emby identify actor embedded in mp4 file?
Luke replied to leftcausedit's topic in General/Windows
Correct, there is no way to indicate that information. the wm/mediacredits convention is very primitive so I would suggest using the itunes format instead.
