Hi good day, I am running Emby in a container on Synology and it is working flawlessly. Recently I discovered something very strange with transcoding of DTS-HD MA/TrueHD when viewing a video in CCWGTV (Chromecast with GoogleTV). The movie has 2 audio streams: DTS-HD MA and AC3 5.1. If I start the video with the default audio DTS-HD MA, it gets transcoded correctly in Emby for AndroidTV if I set the option "Transcode incompatible audio to AC3". If I switched the audio to AC3 while playing, it is direct-playing. But when I switched the audio back to DTS-HD MA, it is still direct-playing the audio instead of transcoding it. This is very strange. I also tried the standard Android version (not for Android TV), DTS-HD MA is not getting transcoded at all! My SONOS Playbar does not support DTS anyway so Emby client should trigger the transcoding to AC3. Using the standard Android version on the Android tablet it is behaving correctly: switching AC3 => DTS-HD MA => audio gets transcoded. I am running Emby client on CCWGTV and the following versions: Emby server: 4.8.3.0 Emby Client: Emby for Android TV 2.0.98g Emby Client: Android Emby 3.3.77 I have attached server log from Emby. Please let me know what else do you need to troubleshoot this issue. Investigating a bit further, it is more likely that the ATV view is correct with square images and the web app should be displaying them square as well. For now I've removed this change in ATV to force them to portrait and have left them as they are in your screen. Let's review this issue after the next server update and see how they compare.

If it's crashing on trying to load the TV overview then that is odd. Try forcing a full refresh of the metadata for that file from the server (and allow it to replace existing images). It may not help, but worth a try - nothing to lose.

Now I'm thinking what FLAVOR of Mint to install and I'm leaning toward MATE instead of Cinnamon. Time will tell, I guess. I found a refurb which hopefully won't take forever to arrive because I'm chomping at the bit to get going on this. Hi. In case you don't realize it, this is a global user option. You set it once (anywhere) and the settings follow you to all the apps. So, you can use the web app or your phone to set this one time, and the Apple TV app will display the sections you chose.

Running Kodi Omega when playing Dolby Vision Files sometimes the sound cuts out and movie starts to stutter this only happens with Dolby Vision. HDR files play fine.

It's an intermittent problem that comes and goes, most likely on the Open Subtitles end. For the last few days I've had the error from all devices and it's also worked from all devices. Hopefully they get it sorted soon if they haven't already.

Wouldn't that be a problem if i am on a episode? It is crashing on loading the TV Show Overview. Not trying to start the show. (Browser view of the show is attached) The show has two audio tracks and three subtitles.

Yeah agree with @jbourneit's still an issue. Also can confirm that there's no real pattern to it, sometimes it happens after weeks, sometimes it's just a few days. At this stage it's honestly hard to debug as my iOS users essentially stopped using Emby for this exact reason.

It's a shame that a paid service can't integrate titlovi.com. It's on the list for 5 years now.... Why wasting time and comfort and money on something that's not going to happen?

I found the switch in the settings ui and it is also turned on, but nothing has changed. I put this hidden switch to the library options.xml but nothing has changed. After all my attempts i restarted the server and refreshed the metadata and checked the box to replace existing images. Then I deleted the server and created a completely new one from scratch (4.8.3.0) and still nothing changed. I do something wrong? do I need to turn something off for the setting to work?

How can i get a server?

Thought I’d share as this has been happening with me since forever (1+ years for sure). I’m always on the latest beta iOS and Emby version, and it always logs out “at some point” (unclear when). However, it definitely doesn’t have anything to do with a long timeout - I was playing a movie about an hour ago, went into a hotel, set the phone down, picked it up again an hour later to watch the movie and I’m logged out. Server is remembered, just credentials are cleared. Note that I did not join the hotel’s network. I’m also running as an SSL cert that’s mapped to an outside host name that resolves internally to an internal IP - but I _never_ use my iPhone with Emby on my internal network so that shouldn’t even be an issue.

Was checking if anyone knows how to make this command stick if proxmox resets. After a server reboot, I have to run this command line again to bring back hardware transcoding.
