Google TV shows "there seems to be a problem accessing your server..."
Luke replied to khohada's topic in Android TV / Fire TV
@khohadaThanks for the video, but did you follow the instructions to send a log from the app? -
Can you please provide an example of when this happens with direct play?

wjcarpenter started following confused about inconsistent "Recordings" presentation , Fail to load subtitles on ATSC 3.0 and ComSkipper ... A Emby Plugin that skips commercials
-
I'm kind of new to emby, so maybe there is some combination of settings that I don't yet grok. I can look at my Live TV recordings via a couple different pathways in the Android app or the web client. If I go to the upper left menu and select "Recordings", I see the view in the first image. The episodes of a show are grouped under a single thumbnail with a little annotation with the count of unplayed episodes. If I got Live TV and select the "Recordings" tab, I see the view in the second image. Each episode has its own thumbnail. There is no aggregation. If one has a lot of episodes of various shows, that's a pretty poor arrangement. I could probably adapt to this OK except that I'm the complaint department in the household, and I'd quickly get tired of telling people to "do it a different way". Is there a good functional reason for these two things with the same name to have different behavior, or is it just a matter of them being coded differently on different days? Is there a way to get the aggregated view in the Live TV > Recordings pathway?

Thanks @hackthis02!!! I just updated to v3.3.1.0 of the plugin, and I can confirm that all specials in my library are now showing up as "+x sp" whether or not they've been watched. Total number of episodes still seems to include the specials though. For the Babylon 5 example I used before, there are 110 episodes in Seasons 1 through 5 and 8 specials. Shouldn't the collected episode count be "110 / 110 (100%) +8 sp"?

Does the log file not show this? Okay so what needs to be done to resolve the issue? We're going to assume at this point that it does not matter if it's transcoding or direct, going to assume because it does not matter it buffers on both, what needs to be done to resolve the issue? Just keep rebooting the device? Just keep rebooting the device?

Hi. All you have to do is set the app to remember the last user - which is actually the default... -

So all you need to do is NOT assign a Profile PIN and set the app to login as the last user. -
Has anyone else experience issues getting your Emby install to utilize your Nvidia GPU for encoding? My Proxmox LCX running Ubuntu 22.04 can see the GPU. When I run lshw -C display I get the following: *-display description: VGA compatible controller product: GP107 [GeForce GTX 1050 Ti] vendor: NVIDIA Corporation physical id: 0 bus info: pci@0000:65:00.0 version: a1 width: 64 bits clock: 33MHz capabilities: pm msi pciexpress vga_controller bus_master cap_list rom configuration: driver=nouveau latency=0 resources: irq:77 memory:d7000000-d7ffffff memory:c0000000-cfffffff memory:d0000000-d1ffffff ioport:b000(size=128) memory:c0000-dffff Does anything seem to be wrong with this output? I have installed the drivers by running the command "sudo ubuntu-drivers install --gpgpu nvidia:535-server", as I can't get the drivers directly from Nvidia to install.

Question about Shield Home ScreenPlay Next and Emby Continue Watching
ebr replied to NorthDegree's topic in Android TV / Fire TV
I think you are talking about the Next Up row in our home screen. The OP is talking about the "Play Next" row on the device home screen, The setting follows the user on all devices. -
Turned off uPNP and rebooted with no luck. Remote connections is turned on from what I remember. I'll check again later and retest with a client device on another network. Are there any other settings I should look out for and edit?

Items / Artists not shown in Collections (Version 4.8.5.0)
letterman replied to letterman's topic in General/Windows
Thx. To be precise: It is not working in the Browser. No matter, which one you use. The Apple App works fine. -
Yes, might be better to mount this via CIFS. Out of curiosity: where is the option to set the username and password when adding a library? I don't see it (using 4.8.5.0) I have only this:

rbjtech started following Need help opening ports on router

Turn OFF uPNP - and reboot the router. It might be conflicting. As you are doing it manually, no need for uPNP and it's safer/more secure that way anyway. Config on the router looks reasonable from what I can see - assuming your emby server is on the LAN IP listed. btw - assume you have 'Allow Remote Connections' in emby .. Also remember you may need to test via a 4G/External connection - testing on the same LAN may not work with the router you have.
-
The remote access IP page. It doesn't connect now but it briefly did by returning a full black page and the server name as the Chrome tab name.

Thanks @crossfire13148and @DarWunThis was actually bug from the plugin rewrite a few months ago. I just pushed a fix for it.

@Kal_El what folder paths are added to each one?

I had only used the Web and Roku apps. But, I did just install the Android app to compare. Here is what I found: When I first opened the Android app, it actually had the same settings that I had last set in the Web version. However, this is not the case on Roku. On Roku, if I select one of my custom tags in the "Show Only channels with Tag(s)" list and then exit Emby on Roku and then open Emby, the setting reverts to only having "All channels" selected. On Android, I can change the setting and it will still be there after I Force Stop the app and open it again and it is also updated in the Web app. This sync between the Web and Android app setting for channel tags would be ideal on Roku. I'm not sure what more details I can give. It is not being remembered for me on Roku (in my test on Android, the first time I opened Emby it pulled in the settings I had last set in the Web version). If I set my preferred sort option on Roku and then exit the Emby app and then open the Emby app, the sort setting reverts back to what is presumably the default of "Default Channel Order". However, I have noticed that if I set to a sort option that is common between the Roku app and the Web app, this will be the value selected when I open the Roku app. There is no "Favorites" option in my "Sort by:" list on Roku. If the sort and channel tags settings were to sync between Roku and Web like they do for Android and Web, I think that would be ideal.
