I found the switch in the settings ui and it is also turned on, but nothing has changed. I put this hidden switch to the library options.xml but nothing has changed. After all my attempts i restarted the server and refreshed the metadata and checked the box to replace existing images. Then I deleted the server and created a completely new one from scratch (4.8.3.0) and still nothing changed. I do something wrong? do I need to turn something off for the setting to work?

Thought I’d share as this has been happening with me since forever (1+ years for sure). I’m always on the latest beta iOS and Emby version, and it always logs out “at some point” (unclear when). However, it definitely doesn’t have anything to do with a long timeout - I was playing a movie about an hour ago, went into a hotel, set the phone down, picked it up again an hour later to watch the movie and I’m logged out. Server is remembered, just credentials are cleared. Note that I did not join the hotel’s network. I’m also running as an SSL cert that’s mapped to an outside host name that resolves internally to an internal IP - but I _never_ use my iPhone with Emby on my internal network so that shouldn’t even be an issue.

Was checking if anyone knows how to make this command stick if proxmox resets. After a server reboot, I have to run this command line again to bring back hardware transcoding.

Guys, I run Emby as a Docker container (pulled latest version today) 4.8.3 - my typical workflow is to check for new versions on the last day of each month and to then pull a new Docker image if warranted. On the client side i run 3 x Nvidia Shields (of various ages) - i manually update the OS on these every 3 months or so and leave the play store option set to update Kodi when new versions are pushed to the store. (Currently running 20.5) So should i be running the 9.x stream or the 10.x stream of the plug on the Kodi boxes ? I use the same skin on all the units Aeon Nox Silvo V9.1.5 I have searched on the forum but there does not seem to be any single document that says when the right time to changeover is ? OK so the post body needs to be formatted differently .That means one of two things needs to happen: A community member could build a bark plugin with everything about the notification tailored for Bark Or you'll need something intermediary to receive the Emby webhook, such as IFTTT, and then you can parse the Emby web hook, transform the data as needed and then pass it along to Bark.

@RUBIKOFcan you please try the latest version of the server and MovieDb plugin? There should be better support to fallback to English when data in your chosen language isn't available. @Happy2Playfyi a moviedb plugin update went up with similar changes to tvdb. Thanks.

How will I "show" you? I've given you an example. It's not something that happens as I'm watching the home screen, I either exit out of the app and then open it again or just simply browse through the different content menus within the app and when I return to the home screen the episodes will be repopulated in the continue watching section. If you could please be specific of how you want me to "show" you an exact example.

Example: After having watched a TV show episode, a certain amount of time passes then it repopulates back into the continue watching section as if it was never watched in the first place.

On the first sentence I'm pretty clear and what I intend to do. If you can please confirm or correct however, I think I realized how I can accomplish "disabling" Live Recordings without losing Channel Mappings, and restoring the scheduled recordings later by doing the following: Install the same Emby-Server (beta) version on the new server as I run on the current server. Copy over the latest backup from the current server. Restore the backup on the new server. Now here is what I'd like confirmation on: Immediately clear the contents of seriestimers.json and timers.json under the path C:\Users\[username]\AppData\Roaming\Emby-Server\programdata\data\livetv Restart Emby-Server. Reconfigure the restored Library's paths as needed specific to the new server's filesystem. When I'm ready to switch-over Live TV recording to the new server, copy over only the files seriestimers.json and timers.json from the previous to the new server, and restart. Does that seem like it'll do what I'm hoping? Much thanx.

Are you testing in the Emby web app?

Does the item have a lot of subtitle or audio streams? It sounds like it's crashing the player. Can you try removing all the subs (try MkvToolnix) and see if that resolves it?

II removed the poster on LiveTV, so it no longer shows the black shadow, and LiveTV cannot generate the poster either. I think I should download some posters from the Emby plug-in Fan Art to customize My Media. Thank you so much for spending your time. I highly appreciate it.

Hi, so it started a while back (about 3 months ago) with just a handful of finished tv shows and then as of this last weekend it is affecting every finished tv show. So, the issue is when I had finished a Tv series say last month or last year that series would repopulate in my continue watching section with a random episode from whatever TV series was already finished. And even when I go to mark that episode "watched" it goes away but then comes back a few seconds to minutes later. This is extremely frustrating because my watching history all wrong. This is happening on my Sony Bravia smart tv, Nvidia Shield and my Galaxy S22 Ultra. I hope a fix can be implemented soon. Emby version: 2.1.10g

Yes, I'm confused as well. From your screenshots, LiveTV is black in both the web app and atv, that's because the black is part of the image - it's not a 'shadow' component. It's not a client/atv issue. As @Happy2Playhas mentioned and I suggested earlier, I think this is a custom image that you have added to the server as I don't believe the server automatically generates dynamic images for LiveTV in the same way that it does for other library types. You will need to create your own 'light' coloured version of this image and use it instead, which also means you will need to manually change this if you change the app theme to dark or another color. Alternatively, and probably the better option is to see if you can make this image with transparency in the areas that are currently black, which should allow the background to bleed through and give you the effect you are after regardless of the theme.

I successfully used the Backup & Restore plugin to move my Windows server to a Linux VM on Proxmox. Pretty much everything is working, but I noticed that many images were missing. Using the browser console I found that the missing files are getting a 404 not found error, so I dug into the logs and found this: The path name seems to have brought with it the backslashes from the previous Windows install. Is there a way to clean this up? I'm concerned that there may be other similar issues carried over from Windows. Is there something that I can do to clean out ALL backslashes from the configuration? Thanks!

I am confused as Live TV is a custom image you need to change it or apply custom images to all libraries theme will not change it. Unless you are trying to say something totally different than what is being interpreted. So these can never match as one is custom and the other is dynamic.
