After doing more analysis, I believe the issue has to do with my guide data not specifying which episodes are new. Maybe I need to go another route for my guide data. Has anyone else experienced this TV show recording issue?

Ok, this answers my question that I posted earlier about Emby generating api keys. When I started reading this thread, I checked my api keys in the dashboard and I was surprised to see one there, that I never created, so I deleted it. Now that I think about it, it could have said DLNA. So, when are those created...when a user actually accesses DLNA? As far as I know, in my use-case, we don't use DLNA. I've disabled it, but is it safe to uninstall the plugin if we don't use it?

Yeah i had that on everything when i first installed a couple of weeks ago, now it's gone. Any time anything scrolled off the page i had that show all text, i'm scratching my head going through the settings of everything to see if it's something i disabled, or did the app change versions? It's gone now with movie files.

Ahhh brain fart! thanks Jiggity! i swear though there was an icon on the right to do that before. That said what about with movies and actors? if i click on a movie, then click on an actor, i get their bio page, but their films are listed as 'movies and shows' in the same right scrolling layout, but that isn't clickable, and same thing, a couple of weeks ago i did have an icon on the right of the screen above them which would open up all the film covers in full screen.

That was my initial suspicion. The question for me is whether or not api key(s) are included in the urls generated by Emby's DLNA/UPnP implementation.

That is exactly why I put that haha. Thanks Q-Droid. I figured it was a limitation on Emby's side but didn't want to push blame or anything. This sql was introduced like a year and half ago I believe and it has been broken since that change as these LINUX backups used to work. I will try that but more mounts are not what I want as I like to keep a pretty tight shop on access/mount. Does this need to be made into an Enhancement? Anything I can help you with to assist on that? Appreciate the response. Cheers mate!

Hello, used the above with my url & path to folders ran as a stack in portainer and the container is running however that as far as it went, I think the folder is 777 but see attached log and image. Just a thought could some of the problems be because my m3u file ends with the following &type=m3u_plus&output=ts Thanks againustreamgen_logs.txt

Hi all, i apologize as i know this has been asked in the past, but i'm looking for a current answer as everything i could find googling leads to old threads from years ago that don't answer much. I've been using Plex for years but decided to give Emby a shot on my 2nd computer. I installed it a couple of weeks ago, everything went pretty smooth, and initially all of the items in my libraries had a little icon to switch to grid or vertical mode right on top of the side scrolling row, but that button suddenly dissapeared in the last few days. I have tens of thousands of files, and don't want to be side scrolling for days to find things. An example, i did my music drives, i have everything sorted in folders by artst/album, so now when i click on a music artist under 'album artists' (which is my preferred view) i get that artists albums listed below their bio, but... they are side scrolling. Two weeks ago i had a little icon there above the scrolling albums which when clicked put all the albums into one screen which you could vertically scroll. This is important as most artists have enough albums that it's going to force you to side scroll. Many older artists like Neil Young or Bob Dylan have upwards of 100 albums, how do i get them to dispaly in grid view or revert to whatever version i had two weeks ago when it was working fine? I think this is something the dev team might have to address and document since Emby users are going to run backups to network storage. For many that's the whole point of having network storage. It looks like the new backups are using sqlite operations (at a glance, not certain) but sqlite devs tend to discourage its use on network storage. If you're certain that the emby runtime user has full access to the backup destination then consider using the nobrl mount option for your CIFS shares. Byte range locking shouldn't be a problem in the new .Net but it still comes up now and then.
