adj910 0
When asking asking Emby to play a movie by mentioning the whole title, Emby responds with "our wires got crossed" or some error, but if you say only the first word it plays the movie correctly. ex. Hey Google talkt to Emby home emby: I'm here, what did I miss? Play movie Shark Tale emby: "our wires got crossed" Play movie Shark Playing Movie Shark Tale on TV

Carlo 4328
Resetting up Synology as my main system as I lost a CPU fan on my Server and had to order a new one. Tomorrow I'll reconfigure Alexa Skills & Google Home for this and test. I have Shark Tale and can test with this specific movie. With that said, I've gotten this message or similar in the past. It happens when titles are more than one word. I just used Shark Tale as an example. I encounter the error whenever I ask emby to play a movie by saying the whole title. Carlo 4328
OK got Google Home set up again for my Synology Emby Setup and tried. Hey Google talk to Emby home emby: Emby here! Good Day! Play movie Shark Tale Playing Shark Tale. Sent to Chrome Windows. It opened in the window and played back fine. So this is working for me. I tried a couple other movies the same way and these too worked. Edited July 26, 2021 by cayars
adj910 0
Good to know at least I'm not the only one experiencing the issue. It would really be more convenient to play a movie by saying the whole title. Imagine if you have 10 movies with a title that has shark in it. Try doing Fast and the Furious or Harry Potter Hehe
Carlo 4328
No I'm saying it did work for me using the full title. I tried several titles by name that all played.
