4.4.3.0 Update to DSM 7

Hi Guys,

I made a boo boo and updated the DSM without reading the instructions in here for Emby specifically, not realising it would still be so manual.  The service/app would have been running when the update was completed and was on version 4.4.3.0.

I've downloaded both the prod and beta versions for my NAS from the downloads page (x64 - DS1515+) and can't even get it to manually install due to a "invalid file format. Please contact the package developer" message.  I've downloaded them a few times to make sure they weren't corrupt but am still having no luck.

The older installation was un-installed before attempting this.

Any help would be appreciated!

How exactly did you try to install?

Just went through the manual package option in the package centre.

Hi, can you take a pic of the error as you see it when trying to install?

Thanks you.

By any chance do you still have the DSM 6 version in your downloads?  I'm not asking you to install it (don't do that), but just want to know the file name.

Do you mean what version of emby was on DSM 6.0? If so, it's 4.4.3.0 as per my original post.

No, I mean do you actually still have the file you used to install 4.4.3.0?

Can you try a different browser? There have been sporadic reports of problems with the Synology install screen in certain browsers.

Tried Edge (chromium) and also Firefox and it's the same result.

Can you reboot the NAS and try again? Thanks.

Rebooted and the same behaviour persists.  Have you guys not seen this behaviour before?

Sorry, i must have missed responding to this one.  No i don't have it sorry.  The package was always updated from the package center and i never specifically downloaded them and upgraded them manually.

Where did you get the download file from?

What is the complete name of the file shown above trying to be manually installed?

Thanks

I get my file : https://emby.media/synology7-server.html

https://github.com/MediaBrowser/Emby.Releases/releases/download/4.6.4.0/emby-server-synology7_4.6.4.0_x86_64.spk

I install manually  emby-server-synology7_4.6.4.0_x86_64.spk

I test version 4.6.3 for dsm 7 and even errors.

When i test before upgrade dsm6->dsm7 in virtualDSM, No problems with even files.

I'm be lost :( I won't downgrade to dsm6.
