Hi, so i want to re-build my linux server, which would mean a fresh install of Emby..

But i dont want Emby to go out and try and scan all the librarys, and try and find all the metadata etc..

So what folders/files do i need to backup/restore to make sure Emby doesnt try to do a full system scan? (as last time i done this, google drive blocked me for too many requests....)

On Librarys

Metadata Saves is set to NFO

Save artwork into media folders is enabled

Thanks

If i just take a copy of

/var/lib/emby/

and

/opt/emby-servers/

and when i've re-rinstalled, replace those folders/files with my copy

would this work?

No need for Application path: /opt/emby-server as that is what you have already re-installed the server application folder.  All you need to do is replace the Data path folder as it contains everything from your previous setup.

Data path: /var/lib/emby

Hi @Luke, @Happy2Play

So finally got round to looking at this..

I've wiped and re-built my server, now using docker-container for Emby, with rclone and SWAG... think i have everything setup correctly...

How would i copy my backup to that location as now im using Docker, it cant find /var/lib/emby

I've tried mapping it in the docker container to

/Path/To/Backup/emby/config:/config

but when i start the docker and goto URL its just asking me to install from fresh.

Thanks

Q-Droid

Is "/Path/To/Backup/emby" a backup of "/var/lib/emby"? If so then I think your volume mapping for the container should be "/Path/To/Backup/emby":/config.
