This is on my Synology DS-220+

I can't figure out why.

Seems mainly when the movie starts playing yes it is direct streaming no transcoding.

Here is the difference Plex 7 to 14% Emby 20 to 25%

Maybe I am wrong though.

Hi, plex splits their server into multiple processes whereas emby does not, so you have to make sure to add up all of the usage of all of the processes.

Makes sense thanks!

Is Emby 32 bit or 64 bit?

What about Plex ?

Our packages for Synology match the device architecture. If your device is 64-bit or arm64 or x86 or armv7, then our Synology package matches that.

Ok Thanks.

Do you have any idea why Plex splits their server into multiple processes ?

Does it really help any ?

Probably because they want to keep certain things independent of each other. There are tradeoffs to consider either way.
