"movie.nfo" is no longer used in "4.6.x" version

Before "4.6.x" version, multipart or multi-version video file of the same movie can share one nfo file (movie.nfo). But now each video file has its own nfo file, whose name is the same with its counterpart video file. When I browse the libarary, the movie's metadata will use the nfo file's content of the first one of its multipart or multi-version video file list (any metdata edited in front end will only be stored in this nfo file). I think it's not really a update.

Hi, movie.nfo is still used, but I don't think it's ever been used in this particular example that you're mentioning. movie.nfo is only used when you have one single video file in a folder with movie.nfo.

But they all share the same metadata fields(like tag, actor, genre and so on) except video stream info.

Right, I'm not saying we can't look at doing that, I'm just saying that we don't currently.
