But looking at the name it would appear to be a previous log repost. And Remux log is not playing subtitles.

Happy2Play 8138
Was going to mention Roku client version but appears you have update as your new logs show currently release App: Roku SG 4.0.31, where previous logs show App: Roku SG 4.0.28. But will have to wait for the devs to comment as nothing is standing out.
ebr 14850
@softworkz is this another manifestation of the subtitle font issue you found on Android? 23:38:04.152 [subtitles@f2 @ 0x705ec0] Loading font file '/config/fonts/DroidSansFallback.ttf'

GreenRyuu 0
I though I had burn in enable but I did not. With burn in is working. Without it, it doesn't. ebr 14850
Okay, so your problem is solved now? SSA subs are only partially natively supported on Roku so, to get the full features, they must be burned in.
GreenRyuu 0
Yes, is working. I was just pointing out that they do not work without burn in, so that in any case someone does not want to use burn in for some reason, you guys could work on that if possible. Thanks! speechles 1911
The Roku is going to strip your SSA/ASS subtitles to work with the SRT render it uses. The Roku only supports SRT. It will strip everything from SSA/ASS and try to turn them into SRT. It might also strip everything so aggressively it strips out text. It could strip out everything and the subtitles won't even work. The only way to play the SSA/ASS as designed by the subber who created them is to burn them in on the Roku. The fact the Roku can possibly play the SSA/ASS subtitles in direct play in no way means it is playing them as they were designed to play. You can download SRT subtitles and use those external subtitles in direct play in the app. They will show as plain text if that is what you want. You can have both internal SSA/ASS and external SRT and choose which you want to use in the video player. We have that available. Unforunately, there is nothing for us to work on in this regard. Hope you understand. Roku has to fix this and properly support SSA/ASS. Edited June 22, 2021 by speechles
