The Roku is going to strip your SSA/ASS subtitles to work with the SRT render it uses. The Roku only supports SRT. It will strip everything from SSA/ASS and try to turn them into SRT. It might also strip everything so aggressively it strips out text. It could strip out everything and the subtitles won't even work.
