BrentTheZebra 1
I've provided pictures below, it's very annoying. Thanks
Happy2Play 8138
Sorry I don't quite follow as the subtitles are appearing in the letterbox border of the actual media so there is no black background. You have that same border without subtitles correct?
seanbuff 837
Maybe they are referring to this "background" which is separate to the standard letterbox It kinda seems a bit related to this topic, but not quite the same
BrentTheZebra 1
When I turn off the subtitles the border goes away. I shouldn't have said black background sorry.
seanbuff 837
Which Emby client are you using for playback where you see this?

HI, this will be improved in the upcoming Emby Server 4.7 release. Thanks.
sundevil67 21
I would love to be able to add a black background behind my subtitles...so much of the time the white text gets lost when the content is too busy or bright, making them illegible. These days with so many mumbly actors, poorly mic'ed recordings, and terrible TV speakers, despite having perfectly find hearing, I can't even watch TV without subtitles on everything. This will be available in the next server version 4.7 for Subtitles options. Devs are hoping to release any day now.
