This case is resolved. 

The issue was that you had chosen the non-default CUVID HEVC decoder which is known to have some issues. 
That it can create such huge memory leaks is something that we hadn't seen before, though.

thanks I was choosing let the software choose which one it thinks was best for the file.

That's the "Yes" setting for transcoding, but you had chosen the "Advanced" setting and then the other decoder.

Normally, the worst outcome of that is a greenish picture or some green visual artifacts, but a massive memory leak is something new.

Just for reference: which version of the Nvidia driver did you install and from where/how did you install it?
