Convert is running but very slowly. It looks like your GPU can't handle the task. Had you been able to convert 4k HEVC before and had you noticed the rate (fps) or speed (x)?

it hasn't moved at all since the 6.0.2 update it was working fine before that. I have the quadro m2000. Before that update it was doing movies in 10 to 15 minutes.

Hi, try turning off transcoding tone mapping. That is the difference from 4.5.

@Luke Tone mapping is disabled

Please attach both the server and ffmpeg log files from an example as the ffmpeg log file alone doesn't show the full picture. Thanks.

Also, why did you select 'CUVID Quadro M2000 - H.265 (HEVC)' instead of the NVDEC variant?

What happens when you choose 'NVDEC' for H.265 decoding (or just "Yes" instead "Advanced" for the HWA configuration)?

I do not see an option in transcodeing for nvdec

Could you post a screenshot from the H.265 section? (or the hw detection log)

Here is the screenshot and I have already posted the hardware detection log.

Great! Now disable CUVID (just to be sure) and retry the conversion. (don't forget to click Save)

OK, thanks for trying. We have a gigantic memory leak and CUVID was the most likely candidate.

Next steps we need to try to find the cause:

  1. Try to use software decoding
=> disable all checkmarks for H.265 hardware decoders and retry
  2. Try to use software encoding
=> Disable the H.264 Nvidia encoder to enforce libx264 encoding

In all cases, check ffmpeg memory usage (high CPU usage will be normal with sw transcoding, though)

does not seem like the process is starting

Just go to "Log" in the Emby dashboard UI and see whether a new ffmpeg log was created.

Besides that: How about other operations with HW acceleration in Emby server? Does that work, did you try? I mean: are all operations with Nvidia hwa affected or only this specific conversion case?
