Emby zeigt keinen einzigen 4k Film in der Bibliothek.

Hallo ich wollte von Plex auf Emby umsteigen. Version 4.6.2.0

Server : Unraid / Linux. Emby über Docker installiert.

Meinen Vorhandenen Movie Ordner bei Bibliothek hinzugefügt. Nach durchlaufen des Scans wurden alle Filme entdeckt die nicht 4k sind.

Auch ein neues 4k Test file, dass nachträglich hinzugefügt wurde wird nicht gefunden.

Verschiedene unter ordner ausprobiert. Im Emby selbst bei suche über Verzeichnisse usw gesucht.

Emby übersicht ist als wären keine 4k Filme vorhanden. 

Server schon neu installiert. Bibliothek Ordner auch neu zugeordnet. 

Stream läuft auch 1a mit 1080p auf maximaler Auflösung im LAN und Remote. 

Mir würde es schon reichen wenn die Filme erkannt würden. Sie müssen nicht 4k laufen.

Aber da vorhanden, möchte ich sie auch sehen können und evtl. dann auf 1080p einstellen ob der dann

was umwandeln muss usw. wäre vorerst egal.

Hi, Are you sure your 4K versions aren't together with the normal version?

That shows a 1080, 4K and 3D version of the same movie.

Its a new install.  1080p movies were found. ALL 4k Movies in the same folder are just not recognized. 

 

even if i try to convert a 4k testfile into 1080 (mp4) server will not recgnize it.

there are no duplicated movies in my folder. On Plex i just could choose in my client if i wanna play it on 4k or lower.. 

But in these Database it does not even show any of my 4 k Movies at all.

non organized. just one folder shared on smb unraid server. i send new files from windows pc via this share into this folder i do not care how they written. Plex hat no problems with it

i guess here it is a thing? 

names of the files are complete different with spaces dots () - etc . 

i even made a subfolder called "4k" .. the folder can be seen from emby but not the movie inside.. even if i rename movies to just test.mkv .. emby wont see it. 

not on metadata or anywhere else

i created a new puplic share test on my unraid server and placed some 1080p and some 4k files in it... then they got found...

so it was my folder on unraid or smb share idk yet.

so i will setup a complete new samba folder for my movies. i guess everything will work then. 

Thanks a lot.  luke´s question got me to this idea. 

emby looks fine so far

That's never really going to work well. You really want to create specific libraries for Movies, for TV Shows, for Music, etc

You can then use many different 3rd party utilities to automatically rename your files and even create proper folder structures for you.  One such tool is FileBot.
