Hi,
How do I get the cover image or icon automatically added to a new downloaded youtube video? I'll explain it better:

example - The movie link is:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MhIzJrTYHBc

The image link is:
https://i.ytimg.com/vi/MhIzJrTYHBc/maxresdefault.jpg

The image path is the same every time, it only changes the link address, see the example:
https://i.ytimg.com/vi/xxxxxxxxxxxx/maxresdefault.jpg
https://i.ytimg.com/vi/MhIzJrTYHBc/maxresdefault.jpg

How can I put this information in image finders automatically in emby?

Thanks for any help information.

First and foremost...  You would be breaking the Terms Of Service with Youtube.  I would expect that the developers have no interest in providing this kind of support for this reason alone.

But to answer your question,  there is no automatic way to accomplish this.  Manually adding images and other metadata is your only choice.

Terrible thing is downloading some youtube video and breaking the rules. But downloading movies from producers like MARVEL or DC is okay, right?

Anyway, thanks for replying. It didn't help at all, your answers aren't accurate, of course there must be some way to fetch the images automatically, in the same way that images are added to trailers that violate youtube rules, and images are also automatically downloaded.

have a good time

You get a poster to generate automatically in the files location?  I have never seen a image ever being downloaded for a youtube video with the built in fetchers, ever.  A poster image is created when the file is imported and scraped into the sever.

Any description or images need to be manually added.

I will leave this discussion at this point and maybe you can get a moderator or developers help with this...

What @skidmarks said is accurate.  To get the same image you would have to manually edit the image in Emby.  You can supply the link to fetch from.
