TV folder corrupted

I've not used Emby in the last week but when I turned the server on when I returned all TV show folders have been combined and given the title "Flåklypa TV shows" from the Norwegian company NRK1 with more than 300 episodes+. The viewing history has been wiped and some of the images have been removed. Looking at individual folders some of the catalogue information has been corrupted by combining different shows (see example below)I've tried rebuilding the library but the result is the same. No software has been updated since I used Emby a week ago so I don't understand where this change has come from. I've just updated to the latest version of Emby but the error remains. All languages are set to English and my Music and Movie folders are not effected.

The server is running on macOS Big Sur 11.4. Emby is version 4.6.2.0

Anyone seen this before and more importantly does anyone know the solution?

Hi, did you try running a full library scan of all libraries?

How are your files named and organized?

Hi Luke,

Tried the scan and searched several other possibilities. In the last few minutes I think I've identified the cause. Yesterday evening I downloaded a programme from BBC iPlayer, Brian Cox's Adventures in Time and Space. The automatic scan didn't find the program (imdb = tt14759102) but assigned it to the NKT series "Flåklypa TV shows" and placed all other programmes below it. I've just deleted that programme and run a scan across the library, I'm now waiting the scan the finish.

Scan finished, all files now visible and their viewing history restored. Now I'll download a new copy of the errant show and see if it works correctly.

Well, looking in more detail I can see the actual show listed correctly in alphabetical sequence but it's created a new folder called "TV Shows' and assigned the image to the to the second 'TV Shows' folder. Any thoughts on how I can stop the system creating a second 'TV Shows' folder? As before all existing shows are placed below the extra level.

All TV Shows are in this format and the Folder for Brian Cox followed the same format and was positioned alphabetically

Solved. The file as downloaded was an mp4 so in theory no problem. I've just run it through Handbrake and now the system handles the file as expected so there appears to have been an issue with the original file.

Thanks for taking the time.
