Hi

Is anyone using Emby to view and record TV from a Hauppage HD Tuner on a Raspberry Pi?

The setup says that WinTV 8. is required which of course does not run on the Pi but how necessary is the app or is it the drivers that it loads?

Thanks in advance

Armageus

You could run TVHeadend on the Pi, which should pick up most Tuners and then export an m3u playlist to Emby

Libreelec is a linux distro that includes a recent TVHeadend and has a raspberry pi version

Is that because of WinTV as Hauppage have drivers for Pi?

It's because we haven't added support for it yet on other platforms besides windows.

If a futurerelease, happauge boards will be accessed at a lower level so it will work on multiple platforms and not require Win TV.
