Astus 0
TVDB and TheMoveDB do not have all episode titles, for example, out of 100 episodes of the series, only 50 can be described. Is it possible to prevent emby from taking the title and description from the database but only to certain folders / seasons / episodes?
Luke 36886
Hi, yes you can use the metadata editor to lock individual titles as needed.

Luke 36886
Yes if you lock the metadata for the folder.

I have a series with 7 seasons of 26 episodes, and on TVDB 7 seasons of 47 episodes. In my files, episodes are combined 2-3 into one file. And TVDB gives the wrong name and description. Carlo 4328
Change the metadata manually to be what you want it to be then LOCK the metadata so it can not be changed.

I have a lot of files, I add them, they all become incorrect, and then I manually have to change them. You can add some attribute to the folder so that Emby does not take information from TVDB, but takes the name of the files. Since there are a lot of files, several thousand. Basically, however, TVDB works well and I wouldn't want to turn it off completely.
Carlo 4328
There should be no reason to do this if you are following the proper naming conventions for movies and TV shows. https://support.emby.media/support/solutions/articles/44001159102-movie-naming https://support.emby.media/support/solutions/articles/44001159110-tv-naming Most identify problems are related to "funky" naming or folder layout conditions or having NFO files with bad info in them. Let's imagine the situation: I have. 100 TV series and each has 100 episodes. I add them for the first time and Emby contacts TVDB adds the name and description of the episode, but each file I have contains two episodes instead of one, as a result the title and description of the episode is not correct. BUT I renamed all the files beforehand and they are named correctly. It would be ideal to instruct Emby not to request TVDB data but to prefer inline filenames, but only for certain series. Carlo 4328
This still shouldn't be a problem if your files are named correctly. Emby does support multi episode tv shows using the name naming convention of S01E01E02. Are your files named this way? I personally don't like doing this and manually spit any files so they are single episodes but that's just me. Can you give us an example screenshot of one of your folders with these files in it?
