6/ABRT after deserializing policy.xml

Emby boots then aborts within minutes of running. Same situation for the last few restarts. Emby does not reboot itself but rather just sends a kill signal

Config/policy.xml files have not been tampered with, nor have the settings of the two users. Just a few days ago emby was serving a movie just fine but crashed with the following:

2021-05-02 13:56:07.365 Error GlobalExceptionHandler: UnhandledException
        *** Error Report ***
        Version: 4.5.4.0

        Framework: .NET Core 3.1.8
        OS/Process: arm/arm
        Runtime: opt/emby-server/system/System.Private.CoreLib.dll
        Processor count: 4

           at System.Threading._ThreadPoolWaitCallback.PerformWaitCallback()
        Source: System.Private.CoreLib
        TargetSite: Boolean Dispatch()

Since then I have not been able to keep emby alive as it fails at the same spot multiple retries, roughly 2-3 minutes after "Deserializing file /var/lib/emby/config/users/<userhash>/policy.xml"

Corrupted file on exit? Any way to check? Nothing of great detail shows on log

attached is the latest log

Hi, where did you get that error message from? I don't see it in the log you provided.

From the log that I had the day that occurred. Since then every log/restart has been nearly identical to the log I attached in the last message.

I am attaching the log with that error message here

Any possible direction I can look into? Still having this issue

policy & config htmls look typical, i doubht they are causing this problem

  • Is there any way to create an even more verbose output from emby?
  • Should I delete all users and start a new user?
  • Could I reinstall or upgrade to beta branch without losing library database or configs?

Restart today, got past the policy part

Got this a couple times that are the only things to stand out

Debug SqliteItemRepository: GetInternalItemIdsList query time (slow): 1152ms. Query: select A.Id from MediaItems A where IsFolder=@IsFolder AND (Path=@Path COLLATE NOCASE) ORDER BY DateCreated DESC LIMIT 1

Problem with my library database? Anyway I can back it up and rebuild it?

Hi, not necessarily. Are you having an actual problem at this point?
