speechles 1917
If you want the audio to stay in sync with the video you want to use the HDMI-ARC (or eARC if this is a high end Roku TV). Roku > TV > Receiver. Make sure receiver comes on before the TV so the Roku can understand how to read the HDMI chain of devices when detecting audio support. rbjtech 4219
If you have the option of connecting the Roku directly into the receiver - then my view is this is the better option as it eliminates any eARC/ARC issues. Video is then passed through to the TV and (if necessary) you can usually delay the audio on the receiver itself. Turn on the Roku first, and CEC will then turn on the Receiver, which in turn will then turn on the TV. Edited April 12, 2021 by rbjtech
