bernie946 1
Hi all, apologies if I've posted in the wrong section How do I force emby to use local art for artists? I've installed v4.5.4.0_1 on my TrueNAS-12.0-U2.1 and scanned all my files, everything works great except all the art is wrong, I have my music set up like this \Music \Artist Name \Album Name 1- Song.mp3 2- Song.mp3 and in every artist's folder is local art named folder.jpg and fanart.jpg. (I have experimented with changing the image names to poster and background respectively, but that did'nt work either.) As you can see from the screenshot, a lot of artists don't have any art at all, and actually the ones that do are wrong (I hate the B\W headshots THB) Emby is obviously scraping a website somewhere (one that doesn't have a lot of art it seems), How do I force Emby to scrape the local files please? TIA Edited April 2, 2021 by bernie946 added info
Baenwort 97
Do you have the library set to save artwork to the local media folder? This is found at the bottom of the library properties when you click on the library from the dashboard.
Guest
I am not for sure but I think that artist artwork actually only comes from Metadata which is downloaded. It will use the images in your folders following the naming convention for the album and/or backdrop. Shows it all here.. Solution Happy2Play 8242 Posted April 3, 2021 Solution Share Posted April 3, 2021 (edited) In 4.5 Artist does not come from local/folder structure. In 4.6 there are circumstances that it can be used. There can be multiple artists on a album/track but you have one artist level naming in said structure, so others artists have to be saved somewhere else. 4.6.0.7 - Music scanning rewrite Edited April 3, 2021 by Happy2Play 1
